Seepage Characteristics Analysis on Earth Dams Considering Polymer Cutoff Wall with Construction Defects

In recent years, non-water reaction polymer grouting is a new technology for anti-seepage and reinforcement that has been widely employed in projects. However, there little research on the consequence of defective cutoff walls affecting seepage safety earth dams. To analyze influence number, location, randomness defects wall characteristics dam, three-dimensional finite element model typical dam with established by numerical simulation technology. The reflects real geometry as well internal common construction defects—windows uneven thickness. results indicate deficiencies, especially defect rate thickness uniformity, have negative effect actual performance wall. Eventually, may be endangered due to overestimation impermeability, if only assuming intact. Therefore, index reflecting integrity impermeability proposed, corresponding proposals are offered based calculation results.
